    Everyone has to start somewhere, and as the saying goes, a journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step — or first post.

    On this website, I will blog about my journey of starting an online business as a digital entrepreneur.

    I’m very excited to start, but I also worry about biting off more than I can chew. See, I have a full-time job as a director of IT at a federal agency in DC. Actually, … it’s more than full-time 🙂 I am constantly working long hours, and it’s (more often than not) a stressful environment.

    Over the past several years, as I have gained responsibility, my full-time job as director of IT has greatly interfered with my hopes and aspirations of running a successful side business as an online entrepreneur.

    But not this year.

    I am determined to make the time, make improvements on my time management, create strategies to prevent distractions (otherwise known as shiny object syndrome), and chart out a marketing plan that I can easily implement and track.
